Synchronous and Asynchronous

Synchronous communication is direct communication where the communicators are time synchronized. This means that all parties involved in the communication are present at the same time.
Asynchronous communication does not require that all parties involved in the communication to be present at the same time. Some examples are e-mail messages, discussion boards, blogging, and text messaging over cell phones.

searching techniques

Many of the problems students encounter when searching the internet could be avoided if appropriate search techniques are employed. Most internet searches are conducted using a tool called a search engine. Search engines respond to keywords typed in by the searcher. To make a better search, try this:
I. Write down the keywords and phrases for which you are seeking information.
II. use "AND" between keywords to narrow a search and "OR" between keywords to broaden a search
III. Use quotation marks for example “ niche strategy “
IV. Use synonym words such as ‘advantage’ as well as ‘benefit’
V. Avoid Stopwords such as ‘the’ and ‘it’
VI. Maximize the usage of the toolbar of the search engine such as in GOOGLE, TRY TO USE ‘IMAGE’, ‘GROUPS’ or ‘NEWS’ to specify your needs.

VII. If the search is unsuccessful with one search engines, try another.

problems in learning

E-learning comprises all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching that serve as specific media to implement the learning process, while virtual is an education system based on the Web that models conventional real-world education by integrating a set of equivalent virtual concepts for tests, homework, classes and so on. Both learning method will benefits the students and lecturers. But, there are some probs that we didn’t notice about..the problems of these two method..but what??
Portability of training has become a strength of e-learning and virtual learning, with the proliferation of network linking points, notebook computers, PDAs, and mobile phones, but still does not rival that of printed workbooks or reference material.
Up-front investment required due to development costs. Both method will involves such a high cost if want to be implemented..as for virtual, all of the equipment such as projector, screen, and pc has limit life span. Once it broken will lead to costly maintenance. Besides, it seems outdated to use that kind of equipment since nowadays peoples attractive more on futuristic gadgets as alternative in daily routine. As for electronic learning, for sure it involves high cost to apply in college or school. The system itself is a big amount of money as it must be builds all around the college or school.
Instead, you’re doing a lot of self-teaching with online courses, which could be a possible second problem. Then there could also be the problem of falling behind if you're not motivated enough or because you don't have the lecturers reminding you..
Inappropriate content for e-learning may exist according to some experts, though are limited in number. Even the acquisition of skills that involve complex physical or emotional components for example, juggling or negotiation can be augmented with e-learning.
Reduced social and cultural interaction can be a drawback. The impersonality, suppression of communication mechanisms such as body language, and elimination of peer-to-peer learning that are part of this potential disadvantage are lessening with advances in communications technologies.
